Certificate in Counselling with Bereavement & Loss Awareness
This 90 hours flexible learning course combines distance learning and face-to-face training. It offers an introduction to humanistic theoretical models and provides the opportunity to learn and practice counselling skills with other students while developing increased personal awareness. The face-to-face training sessions will enable students to acquire further advanced bereavement and loss awareness.
Our flexible learning model allows students to complete the course at their own pace over a maximum of 6 months. This unique course model combines a range of approaches to study including:
- Distance learning course materials
- Reflective workbook
- Individual tutorials
- Face-to-face training
- Counselling skills practice sessions
- Tutor assessed assignment
The course is ‘Quality Checked’ by the National Counselling Society (NCS) and KRCS fully comply with the NCS processes to ensure external scrutiny of our training.

Course fees are inclusive of all training materials, tuition, administration, External Examiner costs and professional body ‘Quality Checked’ fees. Course fees are payable in advance of commencing the course. In 2018 the Certificate Course will be available in Guernsey at the Guernsey Bereavement Service, St Sampsons GY2 4WE
